🔌Nebraska’s New Mining Limits – What You Need to Know
Nebraska lawmakers just gave the green light to LB 526, a bill aimed squarely at those power-hungry mining farms that gulp down 1 megawatt or more of electricity – basically your average crypto mega-farm. The vote? A crisp 49.

Earlier this week, Nebraska lawmakers unanimously passed LB 526, a bill aimed at large-scale crypto miners consuming 1 megawatt or more of electricity.
Here’s what this new bill means for the big guys:
🔋 Infrastructure Accountability – Miners have to cover the costs of all those beefy infrastructure upgrades they need, instead of dumping the bill on local ratepayers.
🔍 Transparency Requirements – Big miners will now have to publicly report their annual energy usage. No more hiding behind those humming walls of ASICs.
⚠️ Grid Protection Measures – During peak demand (or when Mother Nature throws a tantrum), power providers can cut the juice to these large-scale miners to keep the grid stable.
🚨MAJOR BREAKING NEWS: In a defeat that has left MAGA STUNNED, Democrat John Ewing Jr. has just won the mayoral race in deep red Omaha, Nebraska, defeating twelve-year GOP incumbent Mayor Jean Stothert.
This makes him the first Black mayor in the history of the city.
